T-shirts are a basic garment of any closet. This T-shirt with woven patch ecru pink is made with certified organic cotton with a patch of woven fabric made on a backstrap loom by artisans from Santo Tomas Jalieza, Oaxaca, Mex.

This combines a basic piece with a touch of color and originality. You can also wear it with belts also made in backstrap loom by the same community. Both pieces can make a day to day look original.

The waist loom included in T-shirt with woven patch ecru pink was made in 2 days. The artisan makes a long loom and then cuts it into smaller pieces.

Ilde belongs to a collective that started more than 50 years ago. There are about 50 women and every two years they change the person who coordinates them, especially if there are larger orders, so that the work is equally shared.

When you visit them you can see that while some are selling, others are making backstrap loom pieces. They are very kind and hardworking women. Because they are so well organized and have years of experience, the communication and work through Ilde has been very effective.
