From where do you operate?

We are based in München, Germany.

How can I be sure Amaya is treating the artisans fairly?

We have direct contact with the artisans and designers, we do not go to any intermediaries. That is why each garment has an indication of who made it or the group of artisans to which they belong.

Amaya ships from München, Germany.

Do you ship packages internationally?

Yes we do, however we advise you to contact us beforehand in order to establish a shipping fee.

How do I know if the product fits?

In the descriptions of our products we have included their measurements. Most of our garments are one size fits all, since the cuts are wide. If you have any questions you can contact us directly and we will be happy to help you.

Do you sell only clothes under the Amaya brand or do you handle other brands?

Both, the artisans do not handle any brand, so in this case the garments carry our brand, however we make it visible on the hang tags and website who made them. Normally when there is a designer who tailors the garments joining their art with that of the artisans, we keep the designer's brand. Since it is part of our agreement and recognition of their work.

Is it possible to make personalised orders and what is the delivery time?

Yes, we offer it in huipiles and some blouses made under the backstrap loom technique. You can adjust colors, measures and the combination of the brocade. The time of elaboration can be between 6-7 weeks depending on the work of the artisan. And 2 more weeks must be added for shipping.

Please contact us so that once we have the details of your order we can confirm the time frame with the artisan.

The payment of the garment is made once we have agreed the design and delivery time. Additional costs may apply, which will be communicated before the order is placed.

Where are the garments made?

The garments are mainly made in Mexico, in different states and in Guatemala.

However in the future we will be able to include other countries

Are all the products handmade?

Yes, the garments are hand embroidered using the techniques of pedal loom, backstrap loom, elevated embroidery and crochet. Some garments, especially where designers are involved, use sewing machines to tailor the garment, but they are still made to order, i.e. they are not industrial machines.

Which materials are used in the elaboration of the garments?

The main material is cotton, but there are also garments that are made in combination with linen, wool, rayon and acrylan.

Why do you say that the garments are unique?

Because they are handmade garments, none of them will be the same as the other. The artisans do not follow patterns but embroider the designs they have learned and are in their mind. And every mind is different!

How long does it take to restock a garment?

It depends, as not all garments are subject to restocking. Some because of their uniqueness and others because the looms are no longer available. If you are interested in a garment that is no longer in stock you can write to us and we will be happy to verify if we will have it back or not.
